Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on lamination, UV and drip-off finishing — from choosing the right finish to how we work, turnaround and cost. Can't find yours? Ask us directly and we'll help.

What is the difference between thermal and cold lamination?

Thermal lamination bonds a film using controlled heat and suits most offset print, covers and cartons. Cold lamination uses pressure and adhesive instead of heat, making it ideal for heat-sensitive substrates and large-format or digital prints.

What is drip-off coating?

Drip-off coating creates a striking contrast between matte and gloss areas on the same surface, giving depth and a tactile, premium feel. It's our signature finish and is ideal for packaging and covers that need to stand out.

What's the difference between spot UV and emboss UV?

Spot UV applies flat, high-gloss coating to selected areas for sharp contrast. Emboss UV (textured or raised UV) builds a thicker coating so treated areas physically rise from the surface for a tactile, 3D effect.

What finishes do you offer?

We offer cold lamination, thermal lamination, paper & board lamination, strip lamination, window lamination, spot UV coating, emboss UV coating and drip-off matte & gloss coating.

Which finishes work best for packaging boxes?

Board lamination protects and strengthens the carton, while window lamination, spot UV and drip-off add appeal. The best combination depends on the box, the product and the shelf — share your specs and we'll recommend.

Can you add a window to a box so the product shows?

Yes. Window lamination bonds a clear laminated film panel over a die-cut opening so the product is visible while the box stays sealed and protected — popular for food, sweet and gift boxes.

What is window lamination used for?

Window lamination is used on retail and food packaging to let customers see the product inside. It builds trust and appetite appeal while keeping the pack premium and protected.

Do you serve businesses outside Ahmedabad?

Yes. We're based in Ahmedabad and work with printers and packaging businesses across Gujarat. Get in touch with your requirement and location.

Can you recommend a finish if I'm not sure what I need?

Absolutely. Choose "Not sure / need guidance" on the enquiry form, or message us with your stock and design. We'll recommend the finish that best fits your job and budget.

What materials can you finish?

We finish paper, board and packaging substrates — from art card and carton board to covers and specialty stocks. Tell us your material and we'll confirm the right approach.

Can finishes be combined on one job?

Yes. Many premium jobs use a laminate base with spot UV, emboss UV or drip-off accents added for contrast. We'll advise on the best combination for your design.

How do I get a quote?

Send your job details through the Request a Quote page, message us on WhatsApp, or call. The more detail you share — stock, size, quantity and finish — the quicker we can respond.

Do you offer soft-touch (velvet) lamination?

Yes. Soft-touch velvet lamination is one of our thermal finishes — a suede-like, tactile surface that's popular for covers, cosmetic boxes and premium cards.

What is BOPP lamination?

BOPP is a smooth, economical film used for everyday protection. We offer it alongside matte, gloss and soft-touch options and will suggest the right film for your stock and budget.

What's the largest size you can finish?

We finish a wide range of formats, from visiting cards to large sheets and packaging board. Share your sheet size when you enquire and we'll confirm what we can accommodate.

What's your turnaround time?

Turnaround depends on the finish, the quantity and the current schedule. Tell us your deadline when you enquire and we'll confirm what's achievable — we plan around your production timeline.

Can you finish short runs as well as large ones?

Yes. We handle both short and long runs. Tell us your quantity and we'll confirm the best approach for your job.

Which finish is most cost-effective?

A matte or gloss laminate gives the biggest lift for the least cost, and a targeted spot UV adds premium impact without coating the whole sheet. Share your brief and we'll suggest the most cost-effective route.

Do I need to laminate before adding spot UV or drip-off?

Usually, yes. UV and drip-off effects rely on the contrast between a laminate base and the glossy coating, so a matte or soft-touch laminate underneath makes them look their best.

Will lamination cause the sheets to curl?

Handled correctly, no. Curl comes from mismatched film and stock or uneven bonding. We match the lamination to your board weight and, where needed, balance both sides to keep sheets flat.
